Kerry Minnich has dedicated her entire legal career to the practice of family law. From the beginning of her legal education through her years as a licensed attorney, she has focused exclusively on family litigation and the complex financial and emotional issues that accompany major family transitions.

Over the course of her practice, Kerry has continued to expand her litigation experience, handling increasingly sophisticated matters, appearing regularly in court, and advocating for clients in high-conflict disputes. Her work includes representing high-net-worth individuals as well as clients navigating domestic abuse, contentious marriage dissolutions, and other deeply challenging family conflicts. As a founding partner, she brings both strategic leadership and deep litigation experience to the firm’s family law practice.

Kerry draws on extensive experience with Minnesota family law and a deep understanding of the judicial system to position her clients for the strongest possible outcomes. Whether navigating contested custody issues, complex marital estates, or sensitive protective matters, she works closely with each client to understand their unique circumstances and guide them through the legal process with clarity, strategy, and compassion.

Since 2012, Kerry has been recognized annually by Minnesota Super Lawyers. She was first selected as a Rising Star from 2012 through 2019 and has been recognized as a Super Lawyer each year since 2020. This honor is awarded to no more than 2.5% of attorneys in the state and reflects her ongoing commitment to excellence, continued professional growth, and the respect of her peers in the family law community.

Her practice includes divorce, custody, spousal maintenance, paternity, step-parent adoption, complex marital estates, and orders for protection. In each of these areas, Kerry strives to provide thoughtful counsel, strong advocacy, and a litigation approach tailored to her clients’ goals.

Kerry is an active member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and the Hennepin County Bar Association. She previously served as co-chair of the Hennepin County Family Law Executive Committee, an experience that strengthened her leadership within the family law community and deepened her engagement with ongoing developments in the field.
