Amanda Maenner
Amanda Maenner is a trusted advocate for clients facing divorce, custody, and other significant family law matters.
With nearly two decades focused exclusively on family law, Amanda Maenner is a trusted advocate for clients facing divorce, custody, and other significant family law matters. As a founding partner of the firm, Amanda brings experience, judgment, and steady guidance to clients navigating some of the most personal and important decisions of their lives.
Amanda is known for her direct, thoughtful communication and her ability to bring calm to emotionally difficult situations. She works closely with each client to understand their goals, explain their options clearly, and develop a strategy tailored to their family, finances, and future.
Whenever possible, Amanda helps clients resolve disputes through practical negotiation and careful planning. She believes many of the best outcomes are reached outside the courtroom, especially when parties can preserve privacy, reduce conflict, and maintain more control over the outcome.
When litigation is necessary, Amanda is a strong and highly prepared courtroom advocate. Her practice includes complex custody and parenting-time disputes, high-asset divorce, property division, spousal maintenance, non-marital asset claims, child support, paternity, and grandparent rights.
Amanda’s commitment to excellence has been recognized throughout the Minnesota legal community. She has been selected to Minnesota Super Lawyers from 2019 through 2026, after previously being recognized as a Rising Star from 2015 through 2018.
In addition to her litigation practice, Amanda is a Rule 114 Qualified Neutral Mediator, giving her a valuable perspective on both settlement and contested family law matters. She has also served as an adjunct professor in the University of Minnesota Law School legal clinics and held leadership roles on the Hennepin County Bar Association Family Law Section Executive Committee.
Amanda earned her J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School after completing her undergraduate education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Outside of the office, Amanda lives in the west metro with her husband and children.
